Mark Canada, MHA
Operations Manager
Mark Canada oversees the coding, billing, consulting, and quality management functions at RA Services and also serves as the company’s compliance officer. Mark has a diverse background in healthcare which includes hospital administration, physician practice leadership/development, medical coding, and revenue cycle management. He earned his masters degree in health administration at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia and his bachelors degree at the University of Virginia. He is an active member of the Radiology Business Management Association and has a keen interest in data-driven quality improvement initiatives and revenue cycle integrity.
Tim Brown, CPA
Controller
Tim Brown is a CPA with over 32 years of accounting and financial analysis experience. He is the RA Services, Inc. Controller and manages the accounting department. Tim is a graduate of the University of Richmond and is a member of the Virginia Society of CPAs and the AICPA. In addition to the accounting function, Tim and his team provide auditing and analytical support services to the billing department as well as our hospital and physician clients.
Joe Wyatt, MS
IT&S Director and Security Officer
Joseph Wyatt, our Chief Information Officer/Chief Technology Officer, has over 30 years in the IT field with a wide range of experience that includes programming, systems architecture, network interfacing, and PACS administration. Joseph leads our Richmond-based IT team and was instrumental in the development of our proprietary billing and coding platforms. Joseph earned AS, BS, and Masters degrees in Information Technology and has certifications in Citrix and RamSoft. He is also an active member of both the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. As a 20+ year member of RA Services’ leadership team, Joseph remains committed to continuously improving data security and to creating new operational efficiencies through automation. In his free time, Joseph enjoys chess, cycling, and spending time with his family.
Mike Kostyniuk, CPC
Billing Manager
Mike Kostyniuk is RA Services’ billing manager and is the primary contact for our revenue cycle management clients. Mike has over 20 years of tenure with RA Services and his ability to analyze data, resolve unpaid accounts, and monitor A/R trends has been a driving force in our company’s ability to deliver exceptional results to our customers. He also provided valuable input in the development of our proprietary revenue cycle management platform. Mike earned his bachelors degree in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University and passed the Uniform CPA exam. He is also a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and is an active member of the Radiology Business Management Association.
Rick Cassada, CPC, CMIS
Director of Human Resources and Coding Manager
Rick Cassada serves in a dual role at RA Services. As the Human Resource Director, Rick is responsible for the recruiting, orientation, and assimilation of new hires as well as payroll and benefits administration. Rick also acts as our Coding Manager where he oversees the day-to-day operations of our coding and data editing teams. As an experienced certified professional coder, Rick plays a key role in our coding and compliance audits, denials management, and our Quality Payment Program initiatives. Rick is also a champion of continuing education and encourages our coding and billing teams to pursue certifications that ultimately benefit our clients, which include Certified Medical Insurance Specialist, Radiology Certified Coder, Certified Evaluation & Management Coder, and Certified Interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Coder, to name a few.
